Educare Team

Trista has over 10 years of experience working in administrative positions, as well as with non-profit organizations.  She is friendly, knowledge, and dedicated to Educare and to its success.  Trista values communication with our community and families, and continually provides them with information and updates about our programming.

Rena has 15 years of preschool teaching experience and her Early Childhood Certificate Level 2. She creates a nurturing environment, and plans and implements activities focusing on learning through play.  Rena is passionate about providing all children with equal opportunities for learning and a solid foundation for their educational journey.

Sharlene has worked as a Speech Language Assistant with Alberta Health Services and is a Childhood Studies Program Instructor at Keyano College. She has a double BA in Psychology and Linguistics and applies techniques from her learning to support children with developmental, behavioral, and speech and language needs.

Dawna is an Early Childhood Educator Level 1 and has been working with Educare for over 20 years.  She is friendly, fun, and fosters a warm learning environment.  Dawna has a wealth of knowledge and understanding, and specializes in planning and implementing fine motor activates within our classroom.   

Andrea is an Early Childhood Educator Level 1. She has experience working one-on-one to support children with a variety of needs, and is very organized and detail-oriented.  Andrea is an advocate for speech development and play-based learning, and she incorporates games into daily activities to support language development.

Amanda is an Early Childhood Educator Level 2. She is patient, calm, and has a strong understanding of child development. Amanda strives in teaching children emotional and sensory regulation strategies, as well as appropriate problem-solving skills.  She also has experience working one-on-on to support children with a variety of needs. 

Shelby has experience working children in a variety of settings and can implement a range of strategies to meet the needs of various learners. She is currently completing her Speech Language Assistant degree, and applies the tools, strategies, and knowledge that she is gaining through her studies within our classroom.

Born and raised in Fort McMurray, Chantelle is a physiotherapist who graduated from the University of Queensland with a Masters of Physical Therapy. She quickly became passionate about pediatrics and helping children and families meet their goals! She is happy to be part of the Educare team. 

Aryn is a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist who has lived in Fort McMurray for 12 years. She is passionate about supporting children and their families in speech and language development. Aryn has experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Apraxia of Speech, hearing loss, Stuttering, and other speech and language difficulties. Aryn uses a total communication approach by honouring all methods of communication while supporting development of new skills.
